The filter inserts in reverse osmosis systems are wearing parts and should be changed every 6 to 12 months. When exactly the filters should be changed depends on various factors. The more water you run through your reverse osmosis system, the more quickly you should change the filters.
Membranes are the heart of osmosis systems, as this is where the reverse osmosis process takes place. They completely absorb the particles and microorganisms removed by the system and therefore need to be replaced regularly.
