The device works perfectly. The lid could be a bit more stable. But it doesn't have to be; it stays on the device well. It softens the water and has a large salt tank. No cell phone connection, but why would you need it with a water softener? I would buy it again and recommend this water softener. It was very easy to set up.

I have already purchased the second system and have recommended it to others. It is very low-maintenance, uses little salt, is reliable and is inexpensive compared to other systems.
