Mixed bed resin for demineralization in a 25 l bag MB400 or equivalent

  • High efficiency: Fresh resin removes almost 100% of the salts dissolved in the water, achieving an extremely low conductivity of up to 0.1 µS/cm.
  • The water produced meets the highest purity standards and can be used in various applications.
  • Easy to use: The resin is easy to use and replace when its capacity is exhausted, which is indicated by a rapid increase in conductivity.

The mixed-bed resin is an ionically balanced resin with a 40:60 cation-resin ratio and is specifically designed for water demineralization. This amber-colored gel resin is characterized by its high efficiency and its ability to remove salts dissolved in water by strongly acidic cations and strongly basic anions. With a remarkable conductivity of up to 0.1 μS/cm, the mixed-bed resin ensures ultra-pure water.

How mixed bed resin works

In most water sources, in addition to undissolved impurities, dissolved minerals are also present in the form of cations (positively charged ions such as metals and hydrogen) and anions (negatively charged ions such as acid residues and hydroxyl ions). The mixed-bed resin utilizes its special cation and anion exchange resins to adsorb these dissolved substances and exchange them for an equivalent amount of H+ and OH- ions. The result of this exchange is virtually completely desalinated, pure water.
