What is water hardness?
Water hardness indicates how many hardness-forming substances, i.e. calcium and magnesium, are in the water.
We have a very interesting article about this in our support area.
How is water hardness measured?
There are various ways to do this, for example with a titration test. You can get a suitable titration set in our shop . The relevant instructions/explanation can be found directly in our support area .
We also have a great video on this topic:
What units of measurement are there?
- German degrees of hardness (°D)
- French degrees of hardness (°f)
- English degrees of hardness (°E)
- milli-equivalent/l - millival
- ppm CaCO3
- mmol/l CaCO3
What do I do if I have hard water?
Water softening can be used to reduce water hardness throughout the entire household. Installing a water softening system will reduce the water hardness to a desired value. A residual hardness of 3 - 6 ° dH is usually set.
In our shop you will find the right water softening system for all areas of application.
Of course, we would also be happy to advise you by telephone or email.
