Can you drink distilled water or is it poisonous?
What is the pH value of distilled water?
For the reasons mentioned above, the pH value is rather irrelevant; it is around 7. However, this can drop to a value in the range of 5 due to the reaction with the carbon dioxide contained in the air.
What is the difference to demineralized water?
Demineralized water is easier to produce than distilled water. Demineralized water is demineralized by ion exchangers and is also known as demineralised water (fully deionized water). Since sterility cannot be guaranteed, such products cannot be described as distilled water. An exception is reverse osmosis, which delivers comparable water quality
What can distilled water be used for?
There are very different areas of application here. These extend across industry, for filling batteries, for steam engines, for humidifiers with various areas of application, etc.
