Intersection

Blending is used in water treatment to produce a certain water quality. Blending ensures that product water is mixed with untreated water.

A blend is usually used for water softening , since, for example, water hardness of 0° dH is not required in a single-family home. By blending (mixing softened water and calcareous water), the water hardness is adjusted to a value that offers all the advantages of soft water, while operating the softening system significantly more economically.

Be careful, an intersection doesn't always make sense!

For example, no blending should be used when disinfecting drinking water , otherwise germs could remain in the drinking water . Even with well water, when it comes to removing iron from the water, you should not use dilution.
