Full demineralization with our demineralizers is even more thorough than reverse osmosis because it filters out any alkaline earth salts. In contrast to water softening, cations and anions are removed. The result of full demineralization is pure water without any salts (deionized water) that leaves no residue whatsoever. Due to the lack of alkaline earth salts, it is slightly acidic and does not conduct electricity.

Our mixed-bed resin demineralization cartridges reliably ensure fully demineralized pure water and guarantee the best quality for your laboratory applications. Due to its properties, demineralized water is the best choice for cleaning surfaces without leaving any residue.

Our mixed bed cartridges can be connected to both softening systems and reverse osmosis systems, but also work independently. However, when used with untreated water, the mixed bed cartridge wears out more quickly, which is why it needs to be serviced much more often. When connected to one of our systems, the cartridge is only flushed with purified water, which significantly extends the shelf life of the cartridges.

However, producing drinking water is not possible with mixed-bed cartridges: all components important for drinking water are removed. Due to the resulting lack of substances, carbonic acid is no longer blocked. The result is a pH value that is too low (below 7pH). The water is acidic and harmful to health in the long term. Depending on your needs, one of our softening, disinfection, denitrification or osmosis systems is suitable for cleaning your drinking water.
