Test set for determining water hardness - How hard is my water?

Determine the water hardness quickly and precisely with our test set. Use the enclosed measuring cuvette to take 5 ml of water. Add the measuring liquid drop by drop into the water until the color changes. The number of drops corresponds to the water hardness in °dH (German degrees of hardness). One drop of reagent represents 1°dH for a sample volume of 5 ml.

Scope of delivery:

  • Operating instructions: Step-by-step instructions for correctly performing the measurement.
  • Measuring container: Precise measuring cuvette for the water sample.
  • Titration liquid: 15 ml reagent solution for numerous tests.

With this test set you can reliably determine the water hardness and thus specifically adapt water treatment measures. Ideal for use in households, aquariums and for monitoring water quality.

It is important to check the water hardness periodically to avoid calcification of the pipes and fittings. This is especially important when using a decalcification system, which reduces the hardness of hard water, for example 20 degrees dh, to 8 degrees German hardness.

The color always changes from the first drop. If the water hardness is greater than 0, the solution will initially turn red. You then count from the first drop until the solution turns green. If your water hardness is 0, the solution will immediately turn green.

Yes, with the Filtrasoft water hardness test set you can basically also determine the hardness of filtered water, such as that from a table filter. The test kit is designed to measure the overall hardness of water, whether it comes straight from the tap or has gone through a filter.
