Why should every home have a water filter?

A water filter belongs in every house or household. The water filter protects your pipes from dirt particles. Dirt particles such as grains of sand settle in pipes when the water is still and form so-called aeration elements, which trigger a corrosion current and damage your pipes. With a home water filter, you no longer have to worry about this problem!

What does a water filter do?

A domestic water filter uses mechanical filtration (sifting) to ensure that there are no dirt particles such as grains of sand in your pipes and therefore in your drinking water. This not only prevents damage to the installation, but also prevents these dirt particles from ending up in your food or drink.

If a filter is described as backwashable, this means that it can be cleaned with a simple movement of the hand. The dirt particles then end up in the wastewater. We also offer an automatic backwash system for our backwash filters , where the filter is backwashed completely automatically.

Causes of dirt particles in water

  • Pipeline maintenance in the waterworks
  • Excavation work on the water pipes
  • other open spots in the water pipes

consequences of dirt particles in the pipes

The dirt particles inevitably end up in your home's installation if no domestic water filter is installed. When the water is at rest, they settle there and form so-called aeration elements, which trigger a corrosion current through electrolysis and damage your pipes. In order to remove these dirt deposits from your water system, an expensive pipe network flush would now be necessary!

No, a wastewater connection is not absolutely necessary. You can simply collect the water with a bucket when backwashing. However, if you decide on the automatic backwash system, the filter must be firmly connected to the wastewater.

The filter is ideal for a single-family home, especially with its 1" connection. Below are the extended technical specifications that can help you assess its suitability for your needs:

  • Installation position: The filter can be installed both vertically and horizontally with the filter cup facing downwards.
  • Operating pressure: The minimum operating pressure is 1.5 bar. This ensures effective filtration even at lower pressure.
  • Maximum permissible pre-pressure: The filter can withstand a maximum pre-pressure of up to 16.0 bar, which shows high resilience under various conditions.
  • Back pressure: The recommended range for back pressure is between 1.5 and 6.0 bar, which allows for flexible use.
  • Operating Temperature: The maximum operating temperature of the filter is 30°C, ideal for most domestic water systems.

This information confirms that the filter is well suited for use in a single-family home. It offers high flexibility in terms of both water pressure and temperature, making it a reliable choice for your water treatment needs.
