Reverse osmosis systems for industry and commerce

Reverse osmosis systems clean your water even more thoroughly than water softening and disinfection systems. They not only remove salts, but also all carbon compounds and microorganisms.

They are particularly suitable for industry and commerce because water purified by reverse osmosis leaves little to no trace. The rinsing water produced during the process can be easily discharged into the wastewater because no chemicals are used in the process. Industrial reverse osmosis systems are extremely durable and also safe to use because no alkalis or acids are used.

The application areas of industrial reverse osmosis systems include the production of medicines or paper, among others. Our systems can also be used for heating and cleaning purposes, for example in car washes, for steam generation or for cleaning technical systems (such as a solar system). Due to its purity, the water obtained through reverse osmosis is also well suited for laboratory purposes and industrial cleaning of machines.

Industries in which reverse osmosis inserts are required include the electronics, pharmaceutical, textile, electroplating and cosmetics industries. But it is also worthwhile to use reverse osmosis systems in the catering sector for cleaning glasses or dishes.

Our industrial reverse osmosis systems are delivered on a stable frame. These systems meet the highest standards and are also designed for high water consumption. You can control your system via USB or the Internet.

If the water is hard, we recommend installing a water softening system in front of the reverse osmosis system to relieve the load on the membrane in the reverse osmosis system and thus ensure a longer service life for the membrane.

Our industrial reverse osmosis systems achieve a conductivity of less than 10 µS. The system has a built-in display to monitor the conductivity. If a lower conductivity is to be achieved, we recommend using a mixed bed cartridge after the osmosis system. You can find this under the system accessories.

This depends on the respective model. Here are a few calculations (under optimal conditions):

The model with an output of 150 l / h needs almost 7 hours for 1 m³ of water with a power consumption of 0.5 kW. This corresponds to approximately 3.6 kWh per m³.

The model with 300 l / h output therefore needs approx. 3.5 h for 1 m³ of water with a power consumption of 0.65 kW. This corresponds to approximately 2.16 kWh per m³.

The model with 600 l / h output, on the other hand, needs less than 2 hours for 1 m³ of water with a power consumption of 2.2 kW. This corresponds to approximately 3.6 kW per m³.

Basically, you can connect the system as it is delivered to the water, wastewater and electricity and produce water directly. We also offer various accessories such as storage tanks if necessary. That depends on your requirements. We would be happy to create an individual offer.

Our REOS industrial reverse osmosis system can effectively remove chloride from the water because the membranes are able to retain dissolved salts and ions, including chloride. Chlorine, on the other hand, should be removed before the reverse osmosis system because it can damage the membranes. For this purpose, we recommend using an upstream activated carbon filter, which reliably removes the chlorine from the water and protects the service life of the reverse osmosis membranes.

The REOS Compact reverse osmosis system is primarily designed for the treatment of relatively clean, pre-filtered drinking water. While it is excellent at removing impurities, pollutants and microorganisms from water to produce pure drinking water, its suitability for producing drinking water directly from a body of water such as a river depends on various factors.

For the direct treatment of river water into drinking water, preparatory steps are usually necessary to remove coarse impurities and particles before the water is passed through a reverse osmosis system. This includes pre-filtration to remove sediment, suspended solids and possible larger organic materials that could damage or clog the reverse osmosis system membranes.

Furthermore, the process of reverse osmosis can also lead to a reduced pH value, making the water slightly acidic. This is because reverse osmosis systems not only remove impurities, but also minerals that give the water flavor and contribute to pH balance. In some cases, it is therefore necessary to post-treat the osmosis-treated water to increase the pH and add minerals back in so that it meets drinking water standards and preferences.
