Manganese
Manganese (symbol: Mn ) is a naturally occurring heavy metal that is often found in mineral-rich groundwater, often together with iron . An increased manganese content can turn the water brownish, cause deposits in pipes and appliances, and give it a metallic taste. The legal limit is 0.05 mg/l, as too much manganese can be harmful to health.
Processes such as oxidation and filtration, reverse osmosis or water softening systems with special filter media are suitable for removing manganese. Our Penta Multi filter system is particularly effective as it reliably removes manganese and other contaminants from the water. These methods ensure clean and manganese-free water.
