Can you drink distilled water or is it poisonous?
What is the pH value of distilled water?
For the reasons mentioned above, the pH value is of secondary importance; it is around 7. However, this can drop to a value in the range of 5 through the reaction with the carbon dioxide contained in the air.
What is the difference to demineralized water?
Demineralized water is easier to produce than distilled water. Demineralized water is demineralized using ion exchangers and is also known as deionized water (fully desalinated water). Since the absence of germs cannot be guaranteed, such products cannot be called distilled water. One exception is reverse osmosis, which delivers comparable water quality.
What can distilled water be used for?
There are many different areas of application here. These range from industry to filling batteries, for steam engines, for humidifiers with different applications, etc.
