What does backwash filter mean?

A backwash filter is a water filter that has a backwash function for cleaning. Backwashing replaces a complex and expensive replacement of the filter cartridge .

During backwashing, the water is flushed through the water filter into the wastewater at full line pressure in the opposite direction of flow. During this process, the accumulated dirt particles are flushed out and the filter is cleaned in this way. The house water filter should be backwashed regularly. The backwash function can usually be easily carried out using a tap on the water filter . The use of a technician is not necessary for this. It is recommended that it be carried out every 2 – 3 months, but it should be done at least once a year.
